Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA)

The Haven of Rest is thankful for the accountability by our membership in the Evangelical Council of Financial Accountability (ECFA) for many years. Donors can take confidence that ECFA-approved ministries have undergone a thorough yearly review and abide by the highest ethical standards in financial matters.

The Evangelical Council for Finacial Accountability is an American financial standards association representing evangelical Christian organizations and churches, that qualify as tax-exempt, non-profit status, and receive tax-deductible contributions.

Citygate Network

Originating in 1906, Citygate Network is North America's oldest and largest community of independent faith-based crisis shelters and life-transformation centers. the 300+ organizations in Citygate membership seek to move people from desperate crisis situations to flourishing existence through gospel-power life transformations. In carrying out their difficult work, they look to the network for education, training, and resources, as well as promotion, protection, and guidance. The Haven has enjoyed their partnership with Citygate Network for many years.

Golden Harvest Food Bank

Golden Harvest Food Bank is a food bank in upstate South Carolina that receives food donations through partnerships with local retailers, farmers, and food manufacturers. At their Anderson, SC. warehouse they sort, pack, store, and distribute food to partnering organizations, agencies, and programs. At the Haven of Rest, over 65,000 meals a year are served to an average of 55-60 guests every day. Three full meals per day are served to those in residence every day who are seeking help from our ministry to overcome crisis and life-dominating situations and issues. Although the Haven is not a food ministry per sea, a ministry like ours does require food as we provide three meals a day to those in our care. Since this ministry is provided at no cost, this membership enables us to have access to receive quickly perishable goods that can be turned into daily nutritious meals, as well as purchase at below wholesale pricing, because of our membership with the GHFB. All of this enables more donations to the Haven of Rest to go directly to our ministry and programming.
